Superb Basque country cooking in heart of Madrid. From the 48 hour fermented sourdough through the fresh seafood and roasted poquillos to the cream biscuit desert every course was delicious and uniquely flavorful. And the service was warm and informative.

We didn't have a reservation so we were sent downstairs to the bar. The girl at the bar was awesome. Explained everything in English even though the tapas menu wasn't in English. The tapas were delicious!! Best we've had in Madrid so far. Very friendly people. Not sure about the restaurant upstairs since we didn't go.

Everything about our experience at Sagardi was exceptional. The food is delicious. Ananda expertly recommended the correct amount of servings that resulted with my group of six being perfectly sated. The atmosphere is such that you can converse without raising the volume. Tables are nicely spaced so that you don't hear what others are discussing. Sagardi is a delightful location for a fine meal. You will find it across from Teatro Zarzuela. It is worth visiting.

Wonderful dining experience. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The food and wine were excellent, and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. The menu has a great selection of basque dishes and we were impressed with the extensive wine list. Would definitely recommend and go back to when we're in town again. Thanks for a lovely experience!

This Basque restaurant is housed within the Basque Cultural Center. It’s split into two levels, with a lively bar downstairs and a more formal dining space upstairs. The staff is welcoming, and the service is efficient. I ordered the Sopa de pescado a la donostiarra and the Magret de pato de Iparralde con manzana de sidra. Both dishes were flavorful and fairly portioned. With drinks and a discount through The Fork, the total came to about 30 EUR, making it a great value. If you're interested in exploring traditional Basque flavors, this spot is definitely worth a visit. It’s tucked away in a quiet, comfortable neighborhood right in the heart of Madrid.

Great experience! Wonderful actually! Classic low volume music to accompany amazing food. Waiter / waitress are very knowledgeable about the food (food was amazing as well) and can easily guide you in the right direction to pick the right food. In my opinion one of the best restaurants I have ever visited in my life!

Amazing dinner. Everything was on point! Started with the cod omelette and iberico croquettes that my wife and I enjoyed. Finished with the basque steak that was perfectly cooked!

An amazing dining experience. We just happened to walk by as we were looking for a place to eat. We are so happy that we ended up dining here. Ananda and Eduardo were fantastic servers. The food was delicious and we loved the environment.
